Double Digits! Children’s Town’s birthday party
On World Children’s Day on Sunday 20 November, Children’s Town will be celebrating its tenth birthday. Come along and celebrate the birthday with us on the event day that also opens the museum’s Christmas season!
Children’s Town’s birthday celebrations include dancing, activities and treats. DJStadi is in charge of music for the festive disco. The public will be able to participate in many workshops and a puppet theatre performance during the day. An old-timey Santa will also visit the event.
Programme:
Christmas disco at 13.00–16.00 in the museum lobby
The ‘Loviisan joulu’ (Loviisa’s Christmas) puppet theatre performance (Mila Nirhamo) at 13.00, 14.00 and 15.00 in the Children’s Town classroom
An old-timey Santa will be circulating in the event space. You can meet Santa in the lobby at 13.30, 14.30 and 15.30.
Workshops:
Christmas card workshop in Kasari at 13.00–16.00. Create a unique Christmas card and make your friend or relative happy!
Giant greeting card workshop in the Falkman Wing at 13.00–16.00. In the workshop, participants work together on a giant greeting card for Children’s Town entering the double digits.
The ‘Small Christmas decorations’ independent workshop in Children’s Town’s Crystal room at 13.00–16.00. You can find instructions and materials for making a tabletop Christmas tree from cardboard in the Crystal room in Children’s Town.
