Afro-Finnish Children’s Day!
Come celebrate being an Afro Finn, meet other children and learn about your own Afro-Finnish identity!
Afro-Finnish Children’s Day brings Afro-Finnish children and families together to celebrate being an Afro Finn and see the Being Black – Afro Finns’ Experiences exhibition. Over the course of the day, attendees will have opportunities to meet Afro-Finnish role models live and ask them questions. Additionally, Good Hair Day (GHD) and AdAstra have designed an interactive guided tour for the Being Black exhibition. The programme is designed for the youngest members of the family, and parents can wait in a designated parents’ area for the duration of the exhibition tour.
The event will be held in three languages (Finnish, Swedish and English). The event is organised by Good Hair Day, Ad Astra and DIVa together with Helsinki City Museum, and it is part of the programme of the exhibition.
