A new museum for Helsinki
News
Helsinki City Museum will open a new museum in 13 May 2016 in a unique location at the corner of the capital’s iconic Senate Square. The city’s historic quarters will gain a new focal point, where the stories of the city and its people will come to life.
Visitors will be able to access buildings of great historic and cultural value, which until now have been used as office space. The museum will encompass the Children’s Town exhibition at the Sederholm House, and the quarter’s delightful inner courtyards will also become part of the museum experience. More information about the first exhibitions and other content will be announced in spring 2016.
Welcome to the New Helsinki City Museum in May!
