Christmas for the little ones at the Helsinki City Museum
The holiday season will kick off at the Helsinki City Museum at Aleksanterinkatu 16 on Sunday 20 November 2016 from 1 to 5 p.m. The opening event is intended especially for children, who can decorate gingerbread cookies, meet a traditional Father Christmas, or attend a school Christmas tree party, as it was done in the old days. As with all City Museum events, entrance is free of charge.
The children’s Christmas event will start with the traditional Finnish Three Wise Men pageant at 1 p.m. After the pageant, Veera Voima and the Kameleontti Choir will sing and children can decorate cookies, chat with Father Christmas or sing Christmas carols at a traditional Christmas tree party in the 1930s classroom at the Children’s Town. Holiday fun for children and adults alike!
