The City Museum Presents: Courtyards Live!
In July and August 2017, the city museum and café-winebar El Fant make a grand entrance into Helsinki’s bustling music scene. On three summer Wednesday evenings, the museum becomes a venue for some of the freshest live acts in all of Finland. Nestled deep within the museum, the Falkman courtyard will transform into a stage that will host two live acts, at 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM. The musical experience starts earlier, as DJs TuhoJuho and JesseÄänillä spin records from 5 P.M in the shared, Govinius courtyard of the museum and El Fant. The café-winebar will set up outdoor bars on both courtyards that provide sumptious food and drinks throughout the evening. Entry to the museum’s Courtyards Live is free of charge. Entrance from Katariinankatu 3.
The Acts
Wed 19 July
Lokit
Litku Klemetti

Litku Klemetti is arguably the busiest act of 2017, and for good reason. Mixing Finnish nostalgia, punk rock and a generous helping of Attitude gives this band an unmistakable sound.
Wed 26 July
Yöstö

You know her from The Hearing, him from SOLANO – together Ringa Manner and Samuli Kukkola make Yöstö: a journey to the holy sanctum of sound.
Risto

A legendary mainstay of the Finnish rock scene, Risto is a unique experience not to be missed. So don’t miss it!
Wed 2 August
Viba

Viba is a new jazz group that draws inspiration from straightforward Finnish lyricism, cool movie soundtracks and the twisty turns of 1960s American jazz. Image: Meri Björn
Joose Keskitalo (and band)

A singer-songwriter of his own right and reason, Joose Keskitalo is equally interesting with his new band. Check out the new album ‘Julius Caesarin anatomia.’
