The revamped museum shop lets you immerse yourself in Helsinki stories
The Helsinki City Museum’s new immersive museum shop opens on Saturday, 9 November. Come explore, be inspired by Helsinki-themed products, and help us choose a name for the shop. The opening will be celebrated through the rest of the year.
The revamped museum shop is located on the first floor of the museum. The space has been designed with sensory-friendly features, surprises, and visual storytelling. Every detail and the carefully selected sustainable products tell stories of Helsinki. Within the inspiring colour scheme, you’ll even find a floor pattern inspired by the Kontula metro station. The museum shop is open Monday to Friday from 11 am to 7 pm, and Saturday to Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm.
During the opening weekend, 9–10 November, the museum lobby will host the Helsinki International Artists Association’s Fest x Creatives Showcase, a Startup Refugees pop-up market, and family-friendly workshops. Bring the whole family for Christmas shopping on Little Christmas Saturday, 24 November, and to the Christmas Market on Saturday, 30 November, and Sunday, 1 December.
