Radikaalit Ristipistot and Helsinki City Museum invite you to a non-stop workshop to create cross-stitch patterns.
Inspired by Pride Week, we encourage you to make Pride-themed cross-stitches, but you can also come and simply try your hand at cross-stitching or continue your own work. We will provide instructors, materials, and supplies! Welcome!
Radikaalit Ristipistot is a Helsinki-based craft collective that is part of the craft activism movement. The group operates in a sewing-circle atmosphere, promoting relaxed togetherness. At the same time, the aim is to show that feminist activism can take many forms, including soft ones. Radicalism stems from the desire to elevate crafts as an art form, showcase its versatility, and emphasize its potential to be political and engaging.
