Valentine’s Day at the Helsinki City Museum!
Come and celebrate Valentine’s Day at the Helsinki City Museum’s Hoes – Voices in Sex Work exhibition. Have your picture taken alone or with a “friend” in a brothel set! The photography is done by Terhi Suokas, the exhibition curator, and photographer Senni Lätti.
The photo session is free of charge. You will get the picture in electronic format afterwards. Advance registration is not needed, and pictures are taken in order of arrival. There are props that you can use in the photo if you wish. Please note that the pictures are taken in the exhibition space, so there will also be other museum visitors present.
Senni, who is studying media arts with a focus on film and television, is particularly interested in the gaze through which people are pictured in the field of visual art – and how would we like others to look at us? Terhi is a sex educator and cultural producer, who will ensure that each photo session is fun and encouraging. You are warmly welcome to our tender care.
The event is part of the programming of the Hoes – Voices in Sex Work exhibition. The event is free of charge, as always at the Helsinki City Museum.
